Maloran exited the Academy through the large wooden doors. He squinted as his eyes ajusted to the brightness of the morning sun. He cursed it under his breath as he strolled down the walkway to the center of the courtyard.
At the courtyards center was a large stone platfor with a marble podium at the front. The podium faced the main gates that were the enterence to the courtyard from the outside world. The gates now stood open waiting for the floods of adventurers seeking training.
"You think they will come, Daany?" He said aloud although there was no one else in the courtyard. He stood there in silence for a moment before he bagan to laugh loudly.
He stood behind the podium and waited. After a moment he snapped his fingers in the air in front of him.
"You forgot to remind me! They will need to have chairs to sit in for your long speach you forced me to prepare!" With a wave of his hand several chairs materialized before the podium. maloran began to chuckle. He looked up and in the distance he saw the siloette of a personage approaching the open gates.
((Ok. Post here for your first post. Once this thread ends you will be free to make posts in the other areas of the academy and start RP'ing in general. This is just a lets let everyone get here thread))

Rosencreutz walked past the main gates, his arm holding his cloak over Merei, shielding her from the sun. In twenty years of living on the surface, their eyes had adjusted, but Merei still needed several minutes for her eyes to grow accustomed to the bright sunlight after having left the dark confines of their wagon. Ros guided her to a nearby chair, and took the seat next to her, tapping his foot impatiently.

Bella walked past the main gates ready for anything at any moment, but after a while of being on top guard nothing happened. She kept on high alert but started to calm down, she then spotted two Drow's and walked over too them, " WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE" she shouted, then realized her mistake. "Um.. Hi?" she said trying not to barf at the sight of Drow's

Maloran hadn't noticed the Elves enter. But at the shouting of the Half-Elf he noticed at once. He turned his gaze on the three of them. There were two Drow. One male and one female. The female must have been the males ward because it was obvious that she was not one for adventure. The two others the male Drow and the female Half-Elf were rogues. It was easy to tell by their clothing and the items they carried.
"Now lets all try to get along. You will be here for some time and will need each other to survive. now lets let the Drow be and take a seat and continue our wait."

Ros had grasped three of his throwing knives hidden under his cloak as the elf started approaching them, had prepared to throw them until she had come to her senses and stopped yelling. He spoke to her, calm and icy. "In response to your first question, I am Rosencreutz Orden, Lord and Master of former House Orden, and this is my sister, Merei Orden. In response to your second question elf, I am here to train, and find a more permanent lodging for myself and my sister." He wanted only to bury his knives in her throat and other vitals, but the presence of a mage stopped him. Mages did not grow old without a good Idea of how to fight.
"Now lets all try to get along. You will be here for some time and will need each other to survive. now lets let the Drow be and take a seat and continue our wait."
Ros nodded, agreeing with the mage. He did not fully trust the mages state of mind. Over time, mages grew... unstable.

Bella noticed the dark elf had his hands near his "knives" and moved her hand to her sword but did not make move to fight, deciding on better judgement and not killing the Drow she resumed top alert and tried to find somewhere to sit.

Rosencreutz resisted the urge to laugh at the look the elf had given him. She seemed to think herself capable of hurting him! Even if he did take injury, which would certainly be minor at worst, Merei had been training as a cleric before the overthrow, and would heal him in moments.

Still trying not to throw up she turned around and said to the Drow, "I apologize for my forwardness" because it was truly unlike her

Ros opened his mouth to tell the elf just how innapropriate her verbal attack was to one of his and his sister's caliber, especially from an inferior species, when to his surprise Merei spoke instead.
"We accept your apology, please, sit down."
His jaw dropped, she had outspoken him. Even though Drow society was matriarchal, and males are only supposed to take power in the absence of a suitable Lady, Ros had been made Lord of House Orden when his mother died and Merei had refused the title of Lady. Not even she was supposed to countermand his will! He paused, the rebuke on the tip of his tongue when a thought came to him. What is House Orden now? He wondered. Two Drow on the run from home, forced into the overworld, no home, no shelter, just themselves and wagon. He let it pass, and motioned for the stinking elf to take a seat. Probably not even a full elf from the looks of her. One of her parents was no doubt human.

Nevaeh approached the group of people at a brisk pace, her odd, green eyes scanning them all. Soon, she found a seat beside two drow. She appeared to be early, and that annoyed her somewhat. She glanced at the drow sitting beside her with curiosity. Something seemed familiar about them.....But she dismissed the thought temporarily, looking around eagerly for a signal that it would be starting soon.

Ros recoiled. First a half-breed, and now another elf was sitting next to him. Ancient law said that he should kill her on site, but he had had to resist the urge for twenty years now that he had left the Underdark. He gritted his teeth and looked steadfastly at the mage on the stand.

Maloran glanced at the newcomer. There was one more that was supposed to be here... the rest had sent notice that they would not be there for the opening day. Kind of sad that only 5 would be there... but whatever... The rest would come in time. He was eager to start.
"WELCOME!" he said loudly, "To this, the Kenset Academy! I see that most of you have already introduced yourselves." He said this looking at the two drow and the Half-Elf. "As I said before, you will be living together for some time. Learn to get along. There will be NO killing of other students on academy grounds. If you want one of them dead. Do it outside of the campus. I will not tolerate violence amongts you here on these grounds. "You will be sharing rooms. 3 to a room. I will be choosing roomates and may change them at ANY time. Also..." He turned his head suddenly and started screaming incoherently at the area behind him. He stopped and there was silence for a time. Then he turned around and picked up where he left of without missing a beat, "I will be aranging the groups that go and carry out the various assignments. The academy is your home. Treat it with respect. I think that is all for now... If somehting else comes to my mind I want you all back here so we can cover it. AND DON'T BE LATE!!"
He stood there for a moment staring down the four people listening to him.
"Questions?"

Ros stood up. "Sir, I request that I am placed near the same room as my sister, I am oath-bound to protect her. And also, be late for what sir?"

Maloran's gaze snapped to Ros the instant he stood up and he glared at Ros as he spoke.
"I fully intend on having you near your sister! Do you think me a senile old man?!" There was a moment of awkward silence. After another moment Mal began to speak once more, "You are not to be late for any continuations of this speech. Like I said, if I remember something I should have mentioned here then you are to return here and hear me say it. DON'T BE LATE!" He reiterated.
"Anything else?"

"Sir I did not intend to say you are senile, only that I was concerned for the well being of my sister. Also, where are our rooms?"
