Shivering, Nevaeh pulled Ros' cloak tighter around herself. It didn't matter to her, whichever way they went it was bound to be cold in this god-forsaken cave. "I'm fine," she replied in a whispering voice to Bella's concern. She laughed quietly to herself. 'She called me "Neevah"'.

<You come to a turn in the passage. Upon taking the turn you enter a large chamber with runes glowing on the ground. A blue light illuminates the chamber and there are piles of bones waist high all over the ground. Before you stand two kobold shaman. Behind them tied to an alter is a strange being.
It is small and has glowing blue skin. Its green eyes shine in an magic way. If it were to stand it would probably be no taller than 3ft. It is struggling helplessly against its bonds.>
<Upon seeing you the kobolds scream and duck for cover behind a nearby pile of bones.>

Rosencreutz [barreled over to the nearest kobold],[ Kneeing him in the face, and kicking him to the floor, pinning him by the neck], he [drew his scimitar, holding it to the pinned kobolds face].
Forgetting all decorum, he half yelled, " Where is the other one?!?"
OOC: Really where is the other one, I was not sure if they were behind the same pile or not. XD

Growling she [sprinted over to the chained up creature] and [pulls her large broad sword from it's sheath on her back, and brings it down on the bindings or the creature.] Looking around when Ros yelled, she could not find him either. She left that problem to the other two. "Are you ok?" she asked him in a concerned voice; her eyes ever searching for the other kobold.

After scanning the area the best she could, Nevaeh [quietly creeped towards the other kobold] that was facing away near a corner. She [drew her staff andjabbed it in the back], making it fall down face first. She [put her foot on it's back, holding it down]. "Found the other one!" she hollered to the other three.

The creature came to its feet gazing wide eyed at its rescuers.
"Many thanks humans! Many many thanks! Why have you came to this Gerjith cave humans? Why why?"

"We were told to, and I am not a human in the least." Ros replied, his eyes still focused on the kobold under his foot. "What in all the nine planes of hell are you doing here? And what are you anyway?" He ground his boot into the wriggling kobold, who immediately went stiff as a board.

Looking around before looking once more down to the creature, [sheathing her blade]. "Are you one of the Natural residents of this cave?" she asked softly, her mismatched eyes softening as she talked to the creature. Listening to it talk, then in turn Ros, she scoffed. "Must you be so crude Ros... This creature was tied up, surely no friend of the dead Kobold creatures.." she replied to the comment Ros had spoken out. Her voice wasn't mean or taunting...
Turning once more to the Creature she smiled and pulled out an apple she'd taken from the food hall, and offered it to the creature. "Here.. If your hungry." she offered. Damn her caring heart. 'Yeah! damn your caring heart Fay-kun!' the alluring and sweet voice said within her head. 'Do not start with me Chaos.. No sweet talking me either.' she replied to the voice. Her mind returning to the present. "Do you know of the lake creature? Or the inanimant voices that litter this cave?" she asked gently.

Ros sighed, "The kobolds are not dead yet, Fayth. But I will fix that later, for now, they are mildly useful."
Ros grabbed his kobold by the ankle, swinging him face-first into a pile of bones. Gods, but it felt good to be doing something again. He decided to start simply, he drew a dagger, and placed it against the kobolds' foot, near a tendon. He spoke softly into it's ear, asking, "Why did you come here? Who sent you?" When it stayed silent, he kneed it in the back, and pressed the point of the dagger closer to the tendon.

"I am not a human..." Bella muttered to herself silently and instead of threatening the Kabold just gave it a really mean look as if she was going to hurt it.

After making short work of the kobold, Nevaeh went to join the others. They were interrogating some strange creature. She gave a shaky cough and examined the creature. It was strange looking......

The creature looked baffled then stuttered, "My... my apologies hu... uh... I... I dont know what a human is really I guess. I simply assumed that all beyond the cave mouth were human. However I owe you my life. Those humans would certanly have killed me had you... beings... not interfered!" It turned to Fayth, "You have spoken with the Lake God? What use does he have for us mortals? And I know not of the voice you speak of..."

Groaning she looked once more to Ros..... "Simple mistake, it looked dead enough to me. Careful not to give it a heart attack." she teased. He was so full of himself... Her head turning to look at the creature again; listening to it speak. Hearing it talk about humans, and the differences between them and other species, she decided it was best not to continue into that subject. But then when he spoke of the lake creature.. A god? "He took one of our friends prisoner, returned her, but told us to locate an artifact for him... Though he failed to tell us what it was he was looking for." she explained in a soft voice. "Are you one of the natural residents of this cave?" she asked again.

"I am of Gerjith. However, I know not of this artifact you seek for the Lake God. I would imagine it to be an object of great power. I doubt you could miss it." The Gerjith looked at each of them in turn for several moments each.
"If you are to serve the Lake God then you will need my help." He withdrew a spear from his ragged clothing. It glowed a deep red. "Return to the entrance chamber. From there take the Eastern passage. This key will open any barriers you face."
<Alrighty... good to go>

Rosencreutz quickly cut the kobold's throat, dropping the body unceremoniously on the floor. He nodded at the midget, then turned and headed down the way they had came, not saying a word. After he had rounded the corner, a derisive chuckle and the words "Lake God" floated back down the tunnel.
