Kashal turned to Devaki. Of all people she was the last he expected to tell him off for what he had said. He felt slightly betrayed. How could another follower of Scion not understand?
"It is her birthright to serve one like Scion! It is in her blood!" He yelled not even trying to contain his rage, "How can one turn on ones heritage? I know people who would sacrifice much for her bloodline and she has discarded it and turned to the life of a paladin!!" He spoke the word 'paladin' with all the hate he could muster.
Kashal was passionate about his choice of life... He would have given much to have the blood of a demon within him... For one to have this gift then swear their lives to the paladin order was a unforgivable offense.

Khynes cocked his head at the priest. "I have forsaken my *hekh* bloodline as you call it, to become a Shadow Knight." He swallowed some more worms, belched, and continued. "I now have a death sssentance from my people because I use forbidden magics. Why do you not criticizzze me?" He was confused about Kashal's reaction. Although he considered the Tiefling Paladin foolish, he did not feel the amount of hatred that Kashal was exhibiting. This must be another strange part of human culture.

Lephy didn't have a personal hate for Tieflings, but she didn't know if the same could be said for Keila about Aasimar. She took her chances, however, and introduced herself anyways. "Hello ma'am! I'm Lephilia Renout, but you can call me Lephy for short if you wish, ma'am," she said cheerfully. After saying that, she sank in her seat a little; Keila seemed like she was the type to hold hostile feelings towards her...

Sighing she slowly looked once more to Kashal, he had taken that oh so totally wrong. "Kashal, calm yourself. I didn't mean it the way you took it. It's just that most of the people in this world go against there natural nature, I'm an Inari, they usually become Rouges or dancers.. But not me. Not me. Of all my siblings I chose another route. Khynes here." she paused to manuver her hand in direction of the once more confuse Khynes. "As he said he went against his bloodlines. You yourself might have. Human's normally aren't all proud and serve the god we do. But you did, and your happy with yourself right?" she questioned, her tone growing a bit more in volume, but it kept it's underlying warmth and comforting tone.
"Khynes, you risked much for you life style. But you love what you do don't you?" she questioned again in a soft tone. Then once more her colorful eyes dropped to the smaller girl. Ever the optimist.. Then finally rested once more onto the Paladin. She herself disliked Paladin;s greatly... but she wasn't about to go screaming it out. She'd have to talk with Kashal.. He needed to understand.

Kashal heard the voices of the people around him. But it took several moments for his rage to die down and what they were saying to comprehend. He sighed,"This is different. It is not that she chose against what ohers normally do. It is that she has sworn ot kill her own people! Not only has she turned her back on them but she returns with the a vow to destroy! I... I can't comprehend such betrayl..."
Kashal bowed his head and returned to the table. He sat but did not eat anything. He was trying to regain control of himself. He wanted to destroy the traitor but fought it off... He couldnt... not here... not now...

Khynes nodded at Devaki, his long ears bobbing. "I enjoy being able to ssserve as I do, although my people hate me for it. It is a sad thing when you save a settlement from destruction, only to have former membersss of your sibko turn against you.
Khynes slurped down the last of the worms, and belched loudly. "I go now to find thisss 'Dorm R2' and *khk* rest." He plodded out of the room on his reverse-jointed legs, his talons clicking and clacking against the floor.

Maloran walked into the room ignoring everyone making a beeline at Keila. He withdrew an envelope from within his robes and handed it to her. Then turning to face everyone else, Kashal in particular he spoke, "I would like to inform you all, death is not permitted on the academy grounds. If you have an issue that can only be resolved by the death of another do it away fromhere. I am not responsable for you. I trust this messege will be delivered to Khynes." he gave them all a look that would fill anyone with dread.
He turned abruptly and left.

She gave Kashal a look of poison HOW DARE HE she thought and then broke her silence, "How dare you judge me before you know my means,You do not know, although perhaps if you were smarter then you would know not to antagonize the unknown. If the mage had not forbidden it then I would kill you where you stand!"
She then smilled and her angry tone changed completely"as for the rest of you, I am pleased to make your acquaintances" She could already feel the responses coming. She then shot Kashal yet another look of poison.

Kashal began to laugh uncontrolably. So the 'Holyer than thou' had a temper... he liked that. Yet she had that arrogance that accompanied all paladins... she would have to be taken down a notch.
"You would try to kill me had the mage not forbidden it. However you would have failed. You should thank him for saving your life," He said this rising from his seat and turning to look at her, "What more do I need to know about you before I make my judgments? Did you kill your parents? Were you orphaned at birth? It makes no difference. You have betrayed yourbloodline. What more do I need to know?"
He was angry again. He was baiting her for a fight. It was easy to tell that she would take it. The only thing in their way were the bystanders. Nothing would occur here this time. But he had insulted her, and she had an insulted honor she wanted repaired. And he was willing to let her try. They would run into each other again... some day they would not be within the academy walls... and there would be no one to stop either of them.

Lephy still felt kinda uncomfortable, especially since Keila and Kashal were about to murder eachother...... She chose this moment to excuse herself from the others. "Um.....I think I'm gonna go to bed early... Goodnight sir and ma'ams!" she flashed them a quick, weak smile before turning around and leaving the dining hall in search of her dorm room.

Keila smirked, "My bloodline?" she asked sarcastically "Do not underestimate me human, your race is full of traitors, as for you and your god you fight for all that your human race is supposedly against, so yet again you have no means to judge me. And as for me trying to kill you... I would not have to try hard human. You underestimate me greatly" Oh dear she thought I do believe he wants to fight me... what ever shall I do to patch this one up. I would not like to be expelled from the academy for killing him so perhaps I will just continue this game, with words. She looked at him again, he was angry. Angry Evil people are always the most enjoyable to bring down she thought.

Kashal laughed at her words,"Humanity is split in many different ways. We are unique in that way. You demoincs are so few and cannot risk to turn on one another. So dont go comparing me to you!" As he said it it made sense but wasnt as powerful as he had hoped. Reguardless, it was true. Humanity could afford to turn on itself. But demonics stuck together for they were too few to have different opinions. "And I do not stand for everything my people are against. I stand for my God just as you stand for yours. However I have not sworn an oath against my people unlike you. But I'm done now. I am tired from my journey and wish to rest. We will have to continue this conversation later." With that he left the dining hall.

Devaki was pissed now, no more sugar-coating her rage, oh no. Kashal had better hope she was in a better mood when she ended up in the dorm, or else he'd better learn to sleep with his eyes open. Growling fiercely at his retreating back, she snarled a bared her elogated canines; slowly rising. She had heard the Mage ban killing, but he never said ANYTHING about injuring to near death... But alas... he was another who served her god, and hurting him would possibly only land her in a sticky situation with her coven... Well damn, stuck at an impass once again. Sighing loudly, frustration clear in her voice, she glared dagger at Kashal's back, before switching her violet-blue eyes onto Keila, her anger forced away for the moment; though it was far from gone. She had no other reason for being angry with Kashal other then his blantant disrespect for other people's rights and ideas. Sure a Tiefling Paladin wasn't totally orthodox, but nor was it all that foolish. Each had their own ideas, and as long as they didn't push their beliefs in her face, cross her god, piss her off, or make trouble for her in anyway; everyone was the way they should be. Sometimes she thought she was a bit to optimisic to serve under such a god as Scion, but he had chosen her, and she liked her life, so why question it.
Coming out of her thoughts quickly, her eyes refocused on Keila; though she also noticed that they seemed to be the only two left in the dinning hall. "Please pardon Kashal, he may be a priest, and human, but he's also stubborn, and close minded. We all just need a bit of time to adjust to each other. Welcome to Kenset, if you need anything, I'll be happy to help as much as I can and time allows." she said slowly to Keila. She tried to keep her voice welcomeing, and nice, but that underlying frustration just had to sneak in.
ooc: Alina just got her grooooove back! ^^
