Kashal entered he dining hall and was shacked to see the amount of food there was. Back at the monastery this amount of food could have lasted them a year or more! And it just sat here? The wastefulness irritated Kashal. Growing the way he did he had learned not to waste anything... ever.
He took a seat and rested his chin on his palm. He hoped the old mage didn't take too long. He didn't like waiting.

Khynes walked into the dining hall just following the cleric, his clawed feet clacking against the hardwood. Pausing too look at the items that decorated the tables. Surely humans could not eat this filth often! Fist sized red objects lounged in bowls, and small purple objects not much bigger than a coin were laid out on platters! Long green or orange sticks sat next to a cup of some white substance, a dip perhaps. He spotted chicken and turkey, mutton and steak, but he could not survive off of those alone!
He twitched, hissing, as the table nearest him suddenly had a bowl tremoring on top of it, shaking to a standstill. The tables were enchanted to give desired foods to their occupants! Khynes quickly grabbed the bowl of white qast worms, (for that was what they were) and began slurping them down with some relish. Sinking onto his haunches, he leaned his back against the table, burping periodically to show he was pleased with his meal. Idly, he wondered what the human priest had placed his hindquarters on. (He had never seen a chair in his life) Was it some kind of punishment? It looked decidedly uncomfortable. He began wondering if he should sit on one to show penance for some deed he had done, perhaps he had angered the old man? Khynes tried to use a chair, and broke three of them before giving up. He continued to eat his qast worms on his haunches, burping away.

Sitting herself comfortably on one of the chairs at the table being occupied by her fellow schoolmates, Lephy took a good look around. Were they the only students at Maloran's academy? Pshhh... It didn't seem like any of the other people were going strike up a conversation any time soon, so she decided to break the ice. "Hello! I'm Lephy! Are we the only students at this here academy or something?"

ooc: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Ros I SOOOO love your Skraeling now xD
IC:
Slowly she made her way into the dinning chamber, her colorful eyes examining everything as she spotted a seat that was unbroken by the, somehow amusing Skraeling; located directly infront of the other male here. No matter, she had been playing with the idea of talking to this man anyways. Standing in the arch for a moment watching the Skraeling finally give up on sitting in a chair, her lips curled into an amused grin; she finally walked all the way into the chamber.
Click Clack Click Click Clack clunk clank click click clack was the sound that echoed through the soundless hall, bouncing on the walls and such. Reaching the seat, she slowly lowered herself gently onto the seat; makeing sure to allow her gossamer tail to wind out of the way first. "My Name is Devaki Asura.. We serve under the same God. I felt the need to introduce myself." she said to the man before she allowed her eyes to drop on the littler one; so aborable. "I'm Devaki, and no I believe there are more, infact I can guarentee it. I can smell the scents of four others.... They're faint so it's been a while."

A scroll appeared at the center of the room floating 6 feet in the air. It was held by Maloran who had also randomly appeared. "This scroll has your dorm assignments! You are to report to your rooms at nightfall. Sleep well this night, for on the marrow you travel!"
He said this and was gone however the scroll fell to the table.
It reads: Devaki Asura & Kashal Mirodin Dorm 181
Lephilia Renout & Khynes Pakti Dorm R2

Khynes stood next to the table, looking at the paper. It took him several moments to understand the writing, since he was unused to this language. Pausing for a moment, to make sure he was making the sounds right he asked his question. "Which of you isss't Lephilia Renout?" He looked at the male on the chair. He was the only logical choice, after all, humans could not be so degenerate as to bunk both male and female together. "You are, of courssse. It ist only proper that I introdussse myself. *Hkkh* I am Khynes Pakti, I am a Shadow Knight of Dragrael."
He smiled widely, slapping both of the man's shoulders in greeting.

Lephy giggled. "Um..... not quite....." She cleared her throat. "I'm Lephilia Renout, sir! Not him! Me!" She explained while still giggling. Lephilia wasn't a man name!...... was it? Ah well, what mattered was that it was her, not him. So long as one of them changed in the bathroom..... "Nice to meet you, Khynes, sir!" She said jollily, putting out her hand for shaking. She then turned to Devaki Asura to return her greeting. "So there are others? Thats good! More friends, and plus, what good is and academy of only 4 students?" she looked up at the tall lady ('why do I ALWAYS have to be the shortest?!?!' she thought) and stopped with awe. "Wow! Oh....my! Your eyes, maam! Their so.... prettiful! If that's even a word! But wow! I LOVE your eyes maam! Their so colorful and...... unique!" She said in a high, excited voice.
(OOC: she gets REAL excited over little things, why, I do not know.....=P)

Khynes stared at the female, completely taken aback. The mage could not be serious! Bunking with a female was strictly taboo! He had not even seen a female in several years. Looking quizzically at her extended hand, as he spoke, some of his surprise eked into his voice.
"Why do you *khk* extend your hand for punishment? Have you ssstolen something? You should addresss the mage if you have robbed him, it is not my place to take your hand in punishment. And why isss the male and the furry one submitting themselves for punishment on that device? Is this sssociety masochistic? Why do you eat such foul foodsss? Why do you keep punishment devices in the eating room? Why are the tables so far off of the *hkkh* ground? And why in the unholy name of Dragrael are malesss and femalesss bunking together?"
Khynes had not even started asking questions, but he paused to draw breath, and wait for answers.

Kashal couldn't keep from laughing. The poor creature had obviously never been outside his own civilization and human culture must be a difficult thing to grasp.
"My Skraeling friend," Kashal said still chuckling slightly, "In human society and many other cultures it is customary to shake hands as a greeting. She does not desire punishment. Niether do we, the 'punishment devices' are for one to sit upon to rest their legs from constant standing. To a human they are comfortable. The table is high to match the height of the seated person. And lastly... The bunking with the opposite gender is generaly frowned upon in our society as well. What the old man is doing it for is beyond me. If you have any fiurther questions I can answer please ask."
It would be difficult for the Skraeling to adapt but he would have to. The old mage did not seem to be the type to change things to accomidate others.

Slowly Dev's colorful eyes scanned the paper, her mind slowly digesting the reason why he'd place us as such. "I know why he's doing this." she said to no one and everyone at the same time. "It's because Me and Kashal share the same diety, and he possibly does not want to pair us with others of another nature." she added finally, her eyes lifting from the paper to glance at the smaller girl beside her; her lips once more curling into a smile as she listened to her talk. "Thank you Lephilia. I got them from my father... Though I'd rather not speak of my family. I'm glad you like them though." she replied softly. Slowly her tail weaved in the air, etching waves and swaying in the air.
When her red ears twitched she turned her head to allow herself to listen to the other cinversation. Again her heart went out to the creature. "As Kashal said, each species has their own types of culture. In my home we eat on plush pillows and eat on small, low-lying tables. Not to mention we speak a tad differently, it's hard for me sometimes too. The food here is what human's eat, they cannot eat the same way others do. I'm an Inari and I can not eat as they do all the time, nor can I eat the way you do. Everyone is different in their own ways. But if you would like, I can ask the mage to help accomodate your way of life some." she said, keeping her voice calm and soothing. Slowly she looked to Kashal, apparently the things she had said to him he had either ignored or chosen not to speak on. No matter, the other's were keeping her entertained.

Kashal turned and eyed the female... what race had she said she was? He dismissed the question. He would probably hear it again later. And it was all that important to him at the moment. The female was right most likely. They did both worship Scion. But both of these other two had seperate Dieties... if the objective was to aviod religious debate wouldnt 3 dorms been the better choice? The mage had something in mind... he could sense it.
"Allow me to introduce myself," He said bowing to the Inari female, "I am, Kashal Mirodin, Priest of Scion. It seems you and I will be sharing sleeping accomidations here at the academy. I am a man of honor, you hsould have nothing to fear from me... I hope you can say the same for yourself."

Khynes jumped at the priests' statement to the furry one. "I apologizzzge but I thought you just called her a man? Is this another piece of human culture I misunderstand? Or am I just not interpreting your words correctly?"
He tried sitting on another chair, the back of which snapped off as he tried to distribute his weight. Why did the gods' make him so large? He was almost twice the size of other Skraelings, who, while almost as tall as him, were much, much scrawnier.

She raced through the gates to the courtyard, no one was there so she gracefully walked through the doors to where dinner was being held,"I apologize for my lateness, I had a previous engagement that kept me for longer than I would have guessed" She turned and looked for who was in charge, but no one looked adequete enough to fit the part "I am Keila Datlow" she announced with a chilling tone.

Kashal ignored the comment from the Skraeling. He would have to explain semantics later. He looked the new comer over. She was a Tiefling... yet she held herself as a Paladin. He nearly spat in disgust. Her birthright as a Tiefling was the path of darkness and power! How could she throw that away for the path of light? He could tell he would not be getting along with this one very well at all.
"Keila," He said the name, his voice full of disgust, "How kind of you to grace us with your holy presence!" The sarcasim and hate in his voice would be impossable even for the Skraeling to miss, "I am Kashal Mirodin, Priest Scion."

Slowly she averted her cobalt and violet hued eyes to look back upon the human priest known as Kashal. Taking a knowing look at the man, she sighed some and grinned a bit as her large fox like ears took in each word, carefully, and instinctively analyzing them for lies or hidden meanings. "As I have said, I am Devaki Asura, Shadow Knight to Scion. As long as I know I can trust you, and can continue to, you have my word that you can lay your trust with me." she replied to the priest, before turning her head slowly to look once more at the Skraeling. "When he said his last comment, Khynes, he ment that he hoped he could trust me, and that I am a woman of my word. It's just the way things are worded in the human world. It's odd I know." she cooed to him, her voice seemed more soothing when she talked to him. She was trying to help him understand, she'd been in his position a few years back and knew what it felt like.
Just then another entered, the fox's ears lowered some against her head, her tail stopping it's movement. It was just instinct, she hadn't ment it to scare anyone.. she disliked being surprized, though it was her own fault for letting her gaurd down for even a second. Carefully she listened, her ears slowly rising and the twitch creeping back into her tail. "Well hello Keila. I am Devaki. Welcome to Kenset, though I can imagine the headmaster mage will be down to greet you shortly." she replied to the girl, before lifting a slender hand and pointing to the food bar. "If your hungry, there is a food bar over there. If you find that there is something you are craving, just think about it at the bar and it should show up." she added before looking back to Kashal when he commented. "It is odd, but we shouldn't judge to quickly. At first glance most might think you a walking robe, no offence extened Kashal." she murmered to him as she eyed him closely, a slight scolding tone was used.
